Pudina chutney recipe or mint chutney is dip made with mint leaves and coconut. Pudina chatni is a side dish and is served with dosa, sandwich, rice, or paratha. There are many ways to make pudina chutney, today we will see how to make pudina chutney recipe with coconut and tamarind.

Some people add curds or yogurt to mint leaves chutney and serve it as a dip with tandoori dishes, samosa or kachori. This chutney with pudina can also be added as a filling for sandwiches or wraps.

Ingredients that go in making pudina chutney recipe:

  • Herbs: Mint leaves and coriander leaves are used in this recipe to make a tangy and mildly spiced chutney.
  • Coconut: Little bit of coconut is added in this chutney recipe. Coconut can be avoided if you are making the North Indian chutney.
  • Spices: Spices like green chili, ginger and little tamarind is added to make tangy and spicy chutney.

How to make mint leaves chutney?

  • Add all the ingredients to a mixer/blender and grind or blend them by adding 2 tablespoon water to make a fine paste.
  • Remove the ground chutney to a bowl and add salt to taste. Mix well.

Serve with moong dosa or paratha.
You can also add this chutney to sandwiches.

How to serve chutney made with pudina?

Serve this chutney as a side dish with dosa, rice or parathas. You can even add it as a filling for sandwiches.

Mint leaves have number of health benefits. It aids digestion as it contains menthol. It is loaded with antioxidants and can relieve you from acidity and flatulence. Paste of pudina can be used to treat acne and pimples as it has high content of salicylic acid.

Add mint leaves to kada (ayurvedic remedy) when you get cold as it helps fight throat injections. When you feel nauseous, simply chew 1 or 2 mint leaves. This is especially good for pregnant women.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pudina/mint leaves
  • ยฝ cup coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 tablespoon coconut grated
  • 1 green chili
  • ยฝ inch ginger
  • ยผ inch tamarind
  • To taste salt

Instructions
