Is mango lassi healthy?

Lassi is rich in protein and calcium. Consuming lassi every day is incredibly good for health. It is rich in vitamin D and lactic acid and can boost the immune system.

Also drinking lassi helps prevent stomach problems like bloating, digestive issues, and constipation due to healthy bacteria content. Lassi should be always consumed after meals and never on empty stomach. Also, it can soothe stomach after eating a heavy spicy meal.

Is lassi and buttermilk same?

Buttermilk and lassi looks similar in appearance, but both are different. Buttermilk is liquid which remains after butter is churned from milk cream. But lassi is made from churned out yogurt which is made by fermenting milk.

How did I fall in love with lassi?

During this summer, I had lost my appetite. I was not feeling like eating anything. I was only drinking. Drinking lots and lots of cool drinks. I got addicted to some lassi from the nearest juice joint. It was then that my husband decided to teach me how to make restaurant style lassi.

He got some curd or yogurt, mixed some ice cubes, cardamom powder, little sugar and salt and blended everything in blender. He said that was how they used to make lassi in childhood. I tasted it and it was perfect. Neither too thick nor too watery.

I kept trying increased variations of lassi. I made restaurant style mango lassi, the recipe of which is mentioned today. I also made rose mint lassi which was delicious too.
