Onion parmesan toast is a quick and easy appetizer and a great starter recipe for any party or dinner. This parmesan cheese toast with onion is prepared by spreading a mixture of mayonnaise and chopped onion on grilled bread. Grated Parmesan cheese and onion mixture is spread on toasted bread and is topped with butter. This is then microwaved till cheese starts bubbling. Garnish with oregano/Italian seasoning and serve immediately.

Onion Parmesan Toast

This parmesan onion toast can be assembled just before they are kept in oven. I have toasted the bread before spreading onion mayo mixture as this prevents the toast from becoming soggy after onion and mayonnaise mixture is placed on it. You may just spread the onion mayo mixture on bread, top it with cheese, butter and seasoning and place it in microwave.

Other toast recipes and sandwich recipes:

  • Open toast with egg, tomato and spinach
  • Chili garlic toast
  • French toast

Ingredients to make parmesan onion mayonnaise toasts:

  • Onion: Sweet onion, red onion or even yellow onion can be used in this toast recipe with parmesan cheese.
  • Mayonnaise: Any type of mayonnaise can be used in this recipe. I prefer unflavoured mayonnaise, however you can even use mint flavoured or chili flavoured mayonnaise in this recipe.

  • Butter: The toast is topped with little butter before it is kept in microwave. Seasoning: The onion toast is garnished with oregano or Italian seasoning for delicious taste and flavour.
