Instant Oats Dosa

What to do with aย packet of oats lying in my kitchen pantry???
The regular oats porridge has become very boring and all dislike it in my kitchen. Wanted to prepare something with oats, so that even my little one would consume some of it.
www…. Just googled out and found a wonderful recipe from one of the food blogs from the blogosphere. Immediately tried the recipe and it turned out just awesome. Since then this recipe has become a hit in my kitchen and since it is instant, it does not take much time too ๐Ÿ™‚
When my mom had visited me, I told her about oats doss and she could not believe her ears. I prepared and served it to her and she just loved it and praised me a lot. The look on her face after she ate the oats doss is something I will always cherish. She asked me to prepare it and show her live so that she can cook it for my dad and brother.

Ingredients:
1 cup oats
1/4 cup Sooji/Rawa/Semolina
1/4 cup Rice flour
1/2 tsp Jeera/cumin seeds
1 tsp pepper powder

Recipe Source : Sharmi’s Passion
Procedure:
Roast the rawa in a kadai till light brown.
Let this cool down.
After cooling, grind this to a fine powder.
In a separate bowl, mix all the ingredients together.
Add 2 cups water.
The batter should not be like the regular dosa batter, but a little more watery.
Add salt to taste.
Fry a tawa, spread 1/2 tsp ghee/oil.
On this pour the batter. While pouring the batter your hand should be a little high.
Do not spread this on the tawa. Just pour the batter to form a round shape.
The gas should be adjusted to medium flame.
On top of the batter on tawa, spread 2-3 drops of oil and keep it covered.
Take off the lid after 5 Min’s.
Flip to the other side when the edges start separating from the tawa.
Serve with chutney of your choice or have it plain ๐Ÿ™‚
