Kingfish cafreal recipe is very easy to make. Just prepare the green paste with coriander leaves or cilantro by adding some spices like black peppercorns, cumin seeds, cinnamon, and cloves along with little lime juice and apply this green marinade to the fish. Then just shallow fish by adding little oil in a frying pan.

Cafreal masala ingredients:

  • Fish: I have used king fish in this fish cafreal recipe. You can try the same recipe with white pomfret shrimp or prawns.
  • Cafreal masala Goan: Fresh coriander leaves, or cilantro is the ingredient which adds magic to this recipe. ย Along with that, we also add green chilies, garlic, ginger, and lime juice to make this cafreal masala. Vinegar can be used instead of lime juice.
  • Spices: Whole spices like cinnamon, cloves, black peppercorns, cumin seeds and turmeric powder are added to the mixer while making the green cafreal masala.
  • Oil: Coconut oil or any type of cooking oil can be used for frying fish.
