  1. Marinate the prawns by applying salt and set them aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a pan and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Sautรฉ finely chopped onion on medium flame until it turns pinkish.
  3. Add minced garlic and finely chopped green chili to the pan and stir well.
  4. Once the garlic becomes aromatic, add finely chopped tomato and cook until it turns soft and mushy.
  5. Add the marinated prawns to the pan and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes with the pan lid closed.
  6. Open the lid and sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder, and a little salt. Remember to adjust the salt carefully, considering the prawns were already marinated.
  7. Break the eggs one by one into the pan and mix continuously on medium flame until the eggs are thoroughly mixed with the prawns and cooked to perfection.
  8. Garnish the dish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Prawns and Egg Bhurji

Ingredients

  • 3 Eggs
  • 10 prawns or shrimp
  • 2 medium onions finely chopped
  • 1 big tomato finely chopped
  • 5-6 garlic flakes minced
  • 1 green chili finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder or paprika
  • coriander leaves for garnishing
  • To taste salt
  • 2 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  • Apply salt to prawns and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
    10 prawns or shrimp
  • Meanwhile, heat a pan and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Sautรฉ the finely chopped onion on medium flame till onion turns pinkish.
    2 medium onions, 2 tablespoon oil
  • Add minced garlic and finely chopped green chili and stir well.
    5-6 garlic flakes, 1 green chili
  • After garlic turns aromatic, add finely chopped tomato, and cook till tomato turns soft and mushy.
    1 big tomato
  • Add prawns and mix well.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes with the lid of the pan closed.
  • Open the lid and add turmeric powder, red chili powder and a little salt.
    1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon red chili powder or paprika, To taste salt
  • Remember that prawns have been marinated with salt, so be careful while adding salt.
  • One by one, break the eggs and mix continuously on medium flame till eggs are mixed with prawns and cooked properly.

  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
