Dates milkshake recipe or dates shake is a healthy milkshake recipe prepared with just 2 ingredients that is dates and milk. This healthy dates shake is a sugar free milk shake and is also known as khajoor shake or khajoor milk and is an energy-booster milkshake.

Dates can significantly improve our energy levels and are perfect to have during fasting festivals like Navratri, holy month of Shravan or Eid.

Dates milkshake ingredients:

Wondering what is dates shake made up of? This dates and milk beverage is made with just two ingredients that is dates and milk. That is the reason it is the easiest milk beverage to prepare.

  • Dates: Use superior quality seedless dates. If the dates, have seeds, remove, and discard it before using. You may use wet or dry dates. I have used wet dates in this dates milk recipe. If you are using dry dates, just soak it in warm water for 10 minutes before adding it to make milkshake.
  • Milk: If you are on a weight loss diet, you can use low fat milk in this khajoor shake. Alternatively, if you are looking for vegan beverage options, you can use soy milk or almond milk.

How to make dates milkshake?

  • Add all the ingredients in a blender or mixer.
  • Blend to make smooth milkshake.
  • You may add vanilla ice-cream or ice cubes.
  • Top with few chopped dry fruits and serve.

I consider dates as a healthy snack. I love to add them to salads, or I just have them by adding to milk. I normally have dates milkshake without adding sugar to it.

Apart from being rich in iron content, dates have tannins which are anti-inflammatory, anti-hemorrhagic and anti-infective properties. They have been found to offer some protection from a few cancers, including cancers of the colon, breast, prostate, and lung.

A chilled and refreshing glass of dates milkshake is perfect for quenching thirst and feeling energized in the summer season. If you do not have any heat issues with your body, you can consume dates even in summer season.

Dates shake variations:

Instead of milk, vanilla ice cream can be added while blending the milkshake to make the healthy beverage tastier and creamy. You can top it with some whipping cream too and few chopped dry fruits like almonds and pistachios too.

  • 1/4 cup dates de-seeded
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients in a blender or mixer.
  • Blend to make smooth milkshake.
  • You may add vanilla ice-cream or ice cubes.
  • Top with few chopped dry fruits and serve.

Notes

Addition of sugar is optional as dates are sweet. You can increase the sugar quantity to 2 teaspoon if you wish.
