Spicy Fusilli Pasta

Today’s recipe is dedicated to my old friend. She has been trying a lot of recipes from my blog. She and her family loved the dishes. One day she told me that her pasta does not turn good. So I told her that I will share a recipe with her to make ย pasta. I also told her to try the same. Now after sharing this recipe, I am sure she will be the first person to try this recipe. This fusilli pasta is aย fool-proof recipe as I have been making this since a real long time. Thanks to whatsapp for keeping my old friends in touch with me. They have become my biggest motivators and supporters.
Ingredients:
1 cup Fusilli pasta
1 cup chopped broccoli
1 medium sized onion- chopped fine
1 tomato – chopped fine
2 tablespoon chopped olives
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon chilli flakes
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon Tomato sauce
1/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese / 1 Amul cheese cube
For the white sauce:
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoon melted butter
2 tablespoon all purpose flour / maida

Procedure:

Mix the ingredients meant for white sauce.

Boil the pasta in a big vessel to which 1/2 tsp salt has been added. Boil it aldente. Drain the pasta after boiling, but retain the water. I used Barilla Fusilli pasta.

On the other side, in a pan, add olive oil and fry the chopped onions. When the onions turn pinkish, add garlic. Fry for another 2 mins by keeping the container covered.

Then add chopped tomatoes and fry till tomatoes turn mushy.

After this add the broccoli and toss for sometime. Keep the pan covered for 10 mins.

Now add olives.

Add the tomato sauce.

Add the white sauce.

Add the boiled pasta and toss it in the cooked veges. Add salt to taste.

If pasta gets too dry, add little water in which the pasta was boiled.

Add grated cheese.

Top it with Italian seasonings and chilly flakes.

Note:Boil the pasta and prepare the veges simultaneously. So as soon as the veges gets cooked and sauces gets added add the drained pasta. The boiled hot pasta absorbs sauce and flavours better.

This looks like a recipe no one can go wrong with. Lesser ingredients than most pasta recipes I know. Lovely!
