In Bangalore, most of the grocery stores sell only radish and discard the radish greens. Some people even don’t know that delicious and nutritious recipes can be cooked with radish leaves. You can add them to parathas or make delicious stir fries. I got some radish along with leaves from Goa during my last trip and cooked this delicious no onion no garlic radish bhaji. I also got some red leafy amaranth and cooked delicious tambdi bhaji.

No onion no garlic radish subzi or radish leaves subzi is a very nutritious and delicious recipe. This is a zero oil radish leaves recipe and is easy to cook.

This is a no onion no garlic recipe and hence I have added moong dal to it. You can also add toor dal. If you make it with onion, you may not add dal. Garlic is usually not added to this recipe. This radish subzi is a zero oil recipe too and gets ready in less than 20 minutes.

To make this no onion no garlic recipe with radish and radish greens follow the simple instructions. Take a pressure cooker and add the chopped radish leaves, radish, a green chili and moong dal. Pressure cook it. If you don’t have a pressure cooker, you can cook this in any deep bottomed utensil. After the radish greens, radish and dal is cooked, add it to a kadai. Then add grated coconut, jaggery and salt and mix.

Serve this moolyachi bhaji or radish subzi with rice, moringa dal, sol kadi and some potato pakodas.
