Dining Experience At Tijouri, Radisson Blu Atria, Bangalore

These days I am a bit slow in posting new blog posts here. Lots of work in office does not give me time during the weekdays. We have a major release happening in mid-August and due to that all my focus is on office work these days. Also a lot of travel happened in June and July. I am happy that I could spend some time out of my busy schedule today to work on this blog post. I had been to Tijouri restaurant in Radisson Blu Atria to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Hubby loves North and South Indian food and so we chose to dine at this place on our special day.

Radisson Blu Atria, Tijouri

Tijouri remains the most authentic address for tastes from North and South Frontiers and is recognized among Bengaluruโ€™s top restaurants. Here one can experience exotic culinary experience with its mystically inspired dรฉcor, richly laid interior and food which is artistically presented.

Radisson Blu Atria, Tijouri
Mindful of its illustrious past and legendary culinary rigor, the craft of its master chefs has remained unyielding and unrelenting over the years. The quest for excellence requires them to undertake ritual journeys across the disparate locals from historical palaces to the by-lanes of small towns and alluring the entire hamlet of North and South India, unearthing traditional recipes and mastering cooking styles.

To begin with we ordered some mocktails. These were refreshing.

We were also served with some complimentary papads and pudina chutney. The pudina chutney was simply out of the world.

Radisson Blu Atria, Tijouri
We ordered tomato dhaniya shorba which is a thin broth of tomato scented with coriander and ginger. This soup was heavenly.

In starters we ordered Raan-e-Murg and Meen Masala Fry.

Raan-e-Murg is stuffed chicken drumsticks marinated with Awadhi spices and cooked in clay pot. This dish was mildly spiced but tasted delicious.

Meen Masala Fry is fish which was shallow fried with Madras spices. We loved this because this dish was made with seer fish. Nowadays most restaurants serve basa fish, so we asked the server which fish will be served. When he said seer fish, we instantly ordered it. The dish was tasty. Fish was marinated and fried to perfection.

We ordered chicken chettinad and some Indian breads like garlic naan, kulcha and roomali roti.

Followed by this we ordered some Murg dum biryani in which tender chunks of marinated chicken are cooked along with finest quality of basmati rice with handpicked Indian spices in โ€œDUMโ€ style. This dish is a must try. It is served in a clay pot in a โ€œDUMโ€ style. The raita was also delicious.

We were almost full, but thought of trying the dessert. We ordered Boondi Paan Baked Yogurt. This is a paan flavored baked yogurt with boondi caviar.

The kid also had a nice time at Tijouri. The staff took special care of her as she was hardly eating any food. She was the special one to go to the kitchen and choose whatever she wanted. She choose some fruits and the chef served her a special cut-fruit platter which she devoured.

Radisson Blu Atria, Tijouri
At Tijouri, you can also order gourmet set menus. They are named Nawab, Sultan and Maharaja to help you dine in style. They also have plenty of options for vegetarians like malai broccoli, paneer khurchan, bhindi palak ki burjee, etc. I am sure the vegetarian dishes are equally yummy.

You donโ€™t need a special occasion to visit Tijouri. You can visit them anytime and they will make sure that your simple visit is made a special and a royal one.

Cost: Approximately Rs.2,800 for two people

Address:

Radisson Blu, 1, Palace Road,ย Race Course Road, Bangalore
