Sunday Bruch For Easter At Hotel Crowne Plaza, Electronics City, Bangalore

I had been to Hotel Crowne Plaza with my family to celebrate Easter. We went there in the afternoon for brunch and really had a great time. As soon as we reached there we were greeted by the staff at the restaurant and we were quickly provided with a table for 3. I ย looked around the restaurant with joy as the theme in the entire restaurant was based on Easter. There is a stylish contemporary restaurant named 24@43 where the brunch was held.ย
ย
All the tables had Easter eggs in a hand crafted nest. Little did I know that there was a surprise Easter hunt meant for the kids after the brunch. These eggs were meant to be a part of the Easter hunt.

The ambiance was good and the decor perfectly matched the theme.

The brunch buffet was widely spread in the large restaurant area spanning both outdoors and indoors. There were a variety of salads, cold cuts, cheese platters, bread spreads, live chat counter, live pasta counter, live kabab counter, shawarma station, dimsums, cocktails, mocktails and a really big spread of desserts consisting of cakes, cheesecakes, sweets shaped as Easter eggs, pastries, Macaroons, panacotta, rasmalai, rasgulla, ice-creams and a lot lot more. Check the pictures below.

The cheese platters were beautifully laid and were served with the best wine.

Parma ham wrapped melon, cold cuts, salads like roasted chicken, pear and prune salad, smoked salmon with onion rings and capers and a lot lot. There were a lot of dips where one could make their own salad and enjoy the meal.

Some of the starters too were based on the theme.

Notice the Easter bunny ear shaped bread below. This was something that caught my attention as I had never seen such a nicely designed bread dish before.

My little one loved this prawn starter and the potato salad was yummy too.
There were a variety of breads like doughnuts, croissants, puffs, the famous hot cross buns and more. Loved biting through the croissants and whole wheat bread loafs.
There was a live chat counter where chats like shev puri, bhel puri, pani puri, ragda patis, dahi puri, etc were being served.
I loved pani puri and ragda pastis also tasted good.
There were some starters like dimsum which were mind-blowing. From the live tandoor came starters like Murg Dalcha Kebabs and Tandoori Khatta Meethaย Machli in non-vegetarian section and Lauki ki seekh and Achari Bharwan Paneer Tikka in the vegetarian section. The Murg Dalcha Kebabs were heavenly and were stuffed with chef’s secret filling, but the Tandoori Khatta Meetha Machli was too sweet and a bit dissapointing. We Indians prefer fish to be cooked in spicy way. In the veg starters I loved the Achari Bharwan Paneer Tikka which were again stuffed with a yummy filling.
Have you ever seen a live tandoor in a “big” restaurant like this? This was another impressive thing.

There were different varieties of papads too.

The main course indoors was extensive ranging from vegetarian Lasagna with mozzarella cheese and mascarpone, caramalised carrot with pistachios, gucchi pulao, Ravas bake with almond crunch crust, potato forestiere, rolled pork leg with port and star anise sauce, seared tenderloin with grain mustard sauce, etc. There was also Indian cuisine in the main course like Kerala prawns curry, Bharwa Baingan, paneer curry and murg kofta curry.

Little one loves prawns. The staff at the hotel made this prawns dish specially for her and she just loved these. Thanks to the staff for giving her this special treatment. We loved the mocktail served at our table.
The brunch consisted of the finest Easter spreads. The featured starts were Roasted carved turkey, Chicken and smoked Tuna, Lamb ragu with red wine, Vegetarian pot pie, Baked Scalloped Potatoes with Herbs and much more.

And no meal is complete without desserts. I loved the unique desserts which were made specially for the Easter theme. The Macaroons were drool-worthy and so was the cheesecake.
And to make the memories even sweeter, there were time-honored desserts including Pineapple Jalousie, Caramelized pineapple Panacotta, Mimosa cheesecake, Lemon Meringue tart, hot cross buns, chocolate eggs and walnut tart to name a few.
Just to let you guys know, every Sunday there are special activities meant for kids at the restaurant like face painting, a bouncing castle, treasure hunts, etc. This Sunday being an Easter sunday there were some surprise activities for the little ones too. My little one had a great time there. This was the first time that she was fully engrossed in playing games. Thanks to her friend Avantika who was constantly giving her some nice and healthy company. All kids won prizes for and my little one won 2 prizes in games.
And did I forget to mention that there was a special separate buffet meant only for kids? There is a separate kids area and the special buffet was kept there. Yes, there was everything that kids loved. Right from pizza, pasta, noodles, burgers to cakes and doughnuts, there was everything that kids loved.

At the end, a special Easter hunt was also conducted for the little ones by the Hotel.

The guests agreed there could not have been a better way to break their lent and spend the day with their family. Everyone went back with memories to last for a very long time.
… and the eggs from my table disappeared after a massive egg hunt by the kids post which all the kids were gifted with a box of chocolates. Every child was a winner for the day.
Thanks to the staff at Crowne Plaza for making the day a truly memorable one for my family.
