5 Types of Dosa Fillings for the Perfect South Indian Treat

Did you know that dosa is one of the most widely eaten dishes of India? In addition, it also holds a place on the list of to 10 breakfast items. The moment you taste this famous South Indian dish, you will instantly fall in love with it, thatโ€™s for sure. Not only it is a healthy option for the health freaks but also has a unique flavour to it, courtesy the plethora of filling options. Though potato stuffed dosa is widely popular; there are many other fillings that would make this dish a must-have. Here we have listed 5 Types of Dosa Fillings that are perfect for a South Indian Treat. Whether you own a dosa machine or you want to prepare this dish in a conventional way, these filling options will surely make you the head chef of the family.

Paneer Bhurji Dosa

Paneer (cottage cheese) is loved by one and all, making chilly paneer dosa an amazing option for evening treats. Follow the normal recipe of paneer bhurji to prepare the filling and stuff it in the dosa to treat your family with mouth-watering paneer dosa. Accompany the dosa with coconut chutney, a glass of buttermilk and sambhar to make the treat even more special for your family. Finally, if you want you can even add shredded mozzarella cheese to enhance the taste of your dosa.

Soya Granules Keema Dosa

Soya granules are the best solution when you are out of vegetables and craving to have dosa. Not only is soya an excellent source of protein it also has numerous nutritional value. All you have to do is to add salt (as per taste), garam masala, chili powder, coriander powder and cooked soya granules in a heated pan. Cook everything until the masala turns thick. Take it off the stove and put chopped coriander. Soya Granules Keema is ready to be stuffed in the dosa. Serve it with simple ketchup or chutney.

Mutton Curry Dosa

Serving as a side dish aided with dosa, mutton curry is a popular choice among the non-vegetarians. Prepare mutton curry the usual way and serve it with plain dosa and coconut chutney for a flavourful addition to the meal. If not dosa, you can also serve it with another popular South Indian dish known as appam. Prepare hot and crispy dosa using your dosa machine you recently bought from Kent to treat your family with yummy and delicious food.

Schezwan Dosa

Schezwan Dosa is one of the most popular street food items in Mumbai. Stuffed with noodles, this Indochinese dosa style is loved by almost everyone. Spread Schezwan sauce on the dosa and stuff it with noodles and lots of veggies. Prepare everything at home to keep the hygiene and health factor intact.

Egg Bhurji Dosa

Another simple and easy dosa filling option is egg bhurji. The preparation process remains the same as conventional egg bhurji and you can club it with tomato ketchup or mayonnaise for great taste and flavour. Whether you want the egg bhurji to be spicy or bland, the choice is yours. However, if you are going with bland, make sure you sprinkle some chili flakes and oregano to add to the flavour. Roasted Cashews are also a great option to be clubbed with egg bhurji filling. Keep experimenting.
