Rava Fried Baby Corn | Crispy Baby Corn Fry Recipe

Rava Fried Baby Corn is a crispy, kid-friendly snack or side dish made with baby corn, rava (sooji), and spices. This quick and easy rava fry recipe is perfect for lunch boxes or as an evening appetizer.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 20 Baby Corns
  • 2 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
  • 4 tablespoon Oil for shallow frying

For the Rava Coating:

  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 3 tablespoon Rava/Sooji
  • To Taste Salt

Instructions

  • Chop the Baby Corn: Cut each baby corn in half and then into 2-inch long pieces.
  • Marinate: Mix 2 tsp chili powder, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, and ½ teaspoon salt. Rub onto baby corn and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Prepare Coating: In a plate, mix rava, 1 teaspoon chili powder, ½ teaspoon turmeric, and salt.
  • Coat the Corn: Roll each baby corn piece in the rava mixture.
  • Heat the Pan: Add 2 tablespoon oil to a flat pan or tawa and heat on medium.
  • Fry the Corn: Arrange coated corn pieces on the pan. Drizzle remaining 2 tablespoon oil over the top.
  • Flip & Cook: Fry for 10 minutes on one side, flip, and cook the other side for 15 more minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Serve Hot: Garnish with lemon juice and serve as a snack or side.
