I was one among the lucky 150 bloggers who got a chance to attend the Dabur honey Indiblogger meet at Zuri Hotel, Whitefield Bangalore on 4th of July 2015. When Rumana agreed to join me to the venue I felt good. After being stuck in traffic for nearly 30 Min’s on the Whitefield road near Pheonix Market City, we decided to change the route and took a short-cut road. Somehow we reached Zuri by 7.00 PM. The meet was supposed to start at 6.30 PM, but it got delayed and we were happy as we were not late.

After a quick registration, we got into the banquet hall and I was glad to see all talented bloggers from Bangalore. We took the front seat while trying to identify some bloggers. Some known bloggers and some unknown…
After a long wait, finally it started at 7.30 PM. We were surprised to know that the Miss. Pooja Makhija was the main guest for the day who enlightened us about the usage of honey in diet and how to reap benefits of the honey diet. Pooja Makhija has an MSc in Food and Nutrition and is very popular on the Food Food channel. Top bollywood celebrities are her clients.

“Pay attention to food”, says Pooja Makhija. When we eat good food, they go a long way in showing that we do better. She also told that all roles can be done much better when we pay little attention to diet.
She also told us that people do any thing to loose weight, like cotton ball diet, tape worm diet, GM diet,etc and told us to make honey diet a part of our daily routine. She told us not to starve our body, but to eat small meals frequently – 6 small meals is the golden rule. Because if we starve, we loose muscle and not fat. So to loose fat we should follow a proper diet, never skip meals and exercise regularly.
Ideally we should eat within the 1st hour of rising in to jump start our metabolism. A small change can do a lot of good for our future. So if we have 1 tsp honey + a glass of warm water within 30 minutes of waking up in the morning, we can reap many benefits apart from loosing some weight.

Mr. Shankar Sharma, Product Manager at Dabur also spoke about Dabur Honey. He also said that honey should not be heated too much. This was followed by an interactive Q&A session.
Followed by this, we had a small quiz and many bloggers won some Flipkart vouchers. I was the first one to get a voucher 🙂 Yes, it made my day.
Soon we had a cooking with honey session, where the chef demonstrated some recipes where he used honey in cooking. At this time, the floor was open for cocktails and mocktails. I had some orange juice and went to see the cooking demo.

After this, we went for a lavish dinner. Loved the food at Zuri. Below are some pics of the food. The grilled mushrooms were to die for. Actually everything that came from the grill was yummy like grilled chicken and basa fish. I had some pasta and tasted the curries. Desserts were good, but the chocolate brownie was one of the best one I ever had.
The meet concluded with some group photos and introduction to new bloggers. I am happy I made new friends at this meet. Such meets definitely help us to socialize.
