Ingredients

  • 1 cauliflower chopped into florets
  • 2 tablespoons garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, black pepper powder, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  • Add the cauliflower florets and toss well until evenly coated.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread the cauliflower in a single layer.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Remove, toss again, then switch to broil and move the tray to the upper rack. Broil for another 10 minutes until golden.

Notes

Don't overcrowd the tray — florets need space to crisp rather than steam.
The bake-then-broil combination is the key to crispy edges; skipping the broil step will give you softer, less caramelized results.
Works equally well with broccoli using the same method and marinade.
