Variants of Black Dog Scotch

I was wondering how this Black Dog is made and what it looks like. In my previous post I have written down, how Scotch is made. Now I was sitting and wondering what the variants of Black Dog Scotch are. With my research I found that the following are the variants of Black Dog Scotch:

ยท Black Dog 21 years old โ€“ BD 21 Y.O.
ยท Black Dog 18 years old โ€“ BD 18 Y.O.
ยท Black Dog 12 years old โ€“ BD 12 Y.O.
ยท Black Dog Centenary

Donโ€™t be surprised, the older the Scotch the better the taste. So how does these taste and whatโ€™s the colour like? ย Read on below and find out more about this luxurious brand.

BD 21 Y.O. is intense amber gold in colour with shimmering highlights.ย
The nose is a harmony of delight orchestrated by a multitude of seductive aromas which immediately arouse the senses. Soft peaches and ripe citrus fruits coupled with pear, marzipan and bergamot begin this flirtatious fanfare. The aged malt whiskies from the Speyside valley make their own inimitable contribution by adding that distinctive charm and finesse. Velvet and smooth. The hand of time in the finest sherry wood has weaved its magic spell to perfection.ย
The taste is bold and magnificent. For 21 years these aged single malt and grain scotch remains dormant in cold dark warehouses before they are finally blended together by their master blender. The spirit is held long on the palate for at least 21 seconds to awaken itโ€™s many hidden attributes. Itโ€™s a rare masterpiece which reveals itโ€™s inner beauty. Itโ€™s inner world is a rich and unique combination ofย Seville oranges, ripe sweet mangoes and ginger spice reward the palate, and then whispers of bitter chocolate, liquorices and crushed almonds to drift lovingly on.ย
BD 18 Y.O. is deep, golden, glossy and mahogany in colour.ย
The nose is a truly noble bouquet of luscious malty tones and rich velvety textures with a hint of oloroso sherry in the background.ย
The taste is that of round and mellow complex quixotic flavours with an impeccable balance of individual malt and grain whiskies and silky soft tones that dance on the tongue.ย
The finish is luxuriously smooth and long which is a testament to the malt and grain whiskies which have spent years in old casks and vats.ย

BD 12 Y.O. is amber coloured, with golden highlights.ย
Itโ€™s aroma is robust malty, mellow woody, complex yet delicate aroma of sherry and vanillic sweetness with whispers of softย pettinessย in the background.ย
Itโ€™s palate is a Beautifully rounded, heavy body, pronounced malty, mellow woody, fruity sweetness with teasing light warm peat. And the finish is luxurious and exciting, long and warm with a touch of cream.ย
Black Dog Centenary is of amber colour with golden highlights.ย
The aroma is that of matured wood, toasted malt, mild honey sweetness, delicate butterscotch bordering on cream, with floral nuances that emerges at the end. The palate is a robust body, pronounced rich malt and oak and sherry sweetness, spreads warmly in the mouth like silent sea waves and finish is balanced, long, intense and bright.ย
