Egg White Sandwich

Egg white sandwich is a healthy breakfast sandwich made in a jiffy. Egg whites are rich in protein and makes this a protein rich sandwich.

Equipment

  • Grill pan / grill sandwich maker
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs boiled
  • 3 bread slices
  • ½ medium sized onion julienned
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 cheese slice cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • De-shell the boiled eggs and separate the egg yolk.
  • Cut the egg whites into small cubes.
  • To a mixing bowl, add the egg white cubes, julienned onions, cheese, black pepper powder and salt. Mix well.

Now let us prepare the sandwich

  • Apply butter to the bread slices.
  • Take a slice of bread and spread some egg white and onion mixture on it.
  • Top this with another slice of bread.
  • Again spread some more egg white cubes and onion mixture on this.
  • Close this with the third bread slice.
  • Grill the sandwich till the top most bread turns brownish.
  • Cut into triangle and serve with ketchup and glass of coffee or juice.

Notes

  • You can make the sandwich without adding onion julienne.
  • You can add a slice of tomato and cucumber to the sandwich.
