Ingredients

  • 4 crabs cleaned and chopped into 4 pieces each
  • 1 bulb garlic peeled and finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter preferably garlic-flavored
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

For marination:

  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Marinate the crab with red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a deep pot. Add the marinated crab and boil for 8–10 minutes.
  • Remove the boiled crab and set aside on a plate.
  • Heat a kadai and add the butter.
  • Once melted, add the chopped garlic and cook until the raw smell fades.
  • Add black pepper powder and garlic powder, and mix well.
  • Add the boiled crab and toss until evenly coated.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

No extra salt is needed in the final step, since the crab was already marinated with salt.
Plain butter works fine if garlic-flavored butter isn't available.
