Rice paper summer rolls or rice paper spring rolls are a delicious appetizers. These are an alternative to summer salads. You can add different types of fillings to these rice paper rolls. I got the rice paper wrappers from amazon. Followed the instructions on the packet and I was ready to experiment a new recipe. Be careful while handling the rice papers. They are thin and can tear easily. Just submerge them in warm water for 30 seconds. Gently lift them out, spread on a clean surface, place the fillings and roll them. The end result is delicious. Just remember to serve them with different types of dips. The spicy sriracha dip is made with mayonnaise and sriracha sauce. I got the sriracha sauce from The US. Serve these rice paper rolls as starters for parties. They are easy to assemble.
I have added shrimps along with vegetables in this spring roll. You can add only vegetables and serve the spring rolls. They don’t need to be baked or steamed. Just eat them fresh. I used marinated shrimps. For marination I used turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt. You may skip this step if you cannot find the spice powders.
