  1. Heat a kadai and add oil.
  2. After oil gets heated, add chopped onion and sauté till it turns pinkish.
  3. Add the marinated prawns, grated coconut, green chilies, raw mango pieces, turmeric and chili powder.
  4. Mix everything, add 2 tablespoon water and cook with lid covered till the prawns and raw mango gets cooked.
  5. Add salt to taste and mix.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Note:

  • If raw mango is not available you can add “bimla” or bilimbi.
  • To marinate prawns for the above mentioned quantity, just  add all prawns in a bowl and apply 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt and mix well.
  • You can make this a no oil recipe, by simply adding all ingredients in a bowl with 1/2 cup water and simmering it on low flame.
