Pudina Chutney

Pudina Chutney or Mint chutney is what we all make regularly to have with parathas or dosas. Some people add curds to this chutney and serve it with tandoori dishes. You can even add this chutney and make delicious sandwiches. This chutney can be used as a base for make wraps too.

Pudina has number of health benefits. It aids digestion as it contains menthol. It is loaded with antioxidants and can relieve you from acidity and flatulence. Paste of pudina can be used to treat acne and pimples as it has high content of salicylic acid. Add mint leaves to kada when you get cold and thus it helps fight throat injections too. When you feel nauseous, simply chew 1 or 2 mint leaves. This is especially good for pregnant women. Apart from these, there are number of health benefits of pudina.

Since the health benefits are numerous, try to add pudina to your regular diet.
Ingredients:                                        Prep. Time: 10 Minutes, Serves: 4
1 cup Pudina/mint leaves
½ cup chopped coriander leaves
2 tablespoon grated coconut
1 green chili
½ inch ginger
¼ inch tamarind
Salt to taste


1) Add all the ingredients to a mixer and grind then by adding 2 tablespoon water to a fine paste.
2) Remove the ground chutney to a bowl and add salt to taste.
3) Mix well.

Serve with Moong dosa or Paratha.
You can also add this chutney to sandwiches.
